Angela Evelyn Bassett was born in the United States. In the last decade, Angela Evelyn has worked in television and film. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards including 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett is a native of New York New York and raised by an aunt who lived in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Her mother split with her father when she was about five. Bassett and her younger sister moved from the city of St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. While in high school Bassett saw John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided she would like to be an actor. Yale University New Haven Connecticut in which she graduated with her bachelor's in African American and master's degrees (1983). The year 1997 was the time she married Courtney B. Vance who was also an actor. Qualification: B.A. BA. (Afro-American Studies) in 1980. A Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett has been cast in the lead role of Ramonda for the action adventure movie i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
